What you will achieve
Enable A1-level learners to reach the A2 CEFR level in professional English, in preparation for the DCL English diploma — a single 2h30 exam based on a realistic professional scenario.

- Validated A1 level in English (mandatory placement test)

Curriculum — 10 modules · 60 hours
Simple and continuous present, simple past, future (will / going to), modals (can, could, may, should, must), adverbs of frequency, prepositions of time and place, quantifiers
Talking about career path and responsibilities, presenting your company and skills, connectors for structuring speech
Making and receiving calls, identifying the purpose of the call, taking and leaving messages, handling comprehension difficulties, transferring a call
Professional email structure, opening and closing formulas, information requests, confirmations and cancellations, commercial documents (quote, order, invoice)
Participating in a meeting, expressing opinions, presenting figures and data, asking questions, expressions for structuring a speech
Welcoming an English-speaking visitor, professional small talk, presenting products/services, responding to requests, handling a simple order
Booking hotel, flight, taxi, airport and hotel vocabulary, professional restaurant, managing schedule during a business trip
Reading job offers, English CV (Anglo-Saxon format), cover letter, typical interview questions
UK/USA cultural differences, Anglo-Saxon courtesy conventions, dress code and networking, schedules and punctuality

Teaching methods

Trainer profiles
Qualified professional English trainers (Master LEA, LLCER English or equivalent), experience teaching professional English at A1-A2 level, knowledge of the CEFR and DCL English, professional business experience.
