What you will achieve
Enable beginner learners (A1.1 level acquired) to reach A1 CEFR in a professional context, in preparation for the DCLFP certification (1h30 single exam on a simple professional scenario).
- Understand familiar words and very common expressions in basic professional situations
- Read and recognise very simple words and sentences in basic professional documents
- Introduce yourself and use basic polite expressions
- Write simple personal information and fill in basic forms
- Pass the DCLFP level A1 exam

Prerequisites
- A1.1 level acquired (Latin alphabet, reading and writing simple words)
- Ability to introduce oneself in a very basic way
- Motivation for professional integration or employment retention
- Commitment to attending the full training course
Curriculum — 9 modules (60h)
- 1First steps in French grammar (8h) Alphabet, articles, present tense of être/avoir, 1st group verbs, subject pronouns, negation, simple questions
- 2Basic professional vocabulary (10h) Introductions, numbers, days/months, professions, everyday objects, polite expressions
- 3Basic listening comprehension (7h) Short instructions, simple questions, very short telephone messages
- 4Basic spoken expression (8h) Introducing yourself, talking about your job, role plays in professional situations
- 5Basic reading comprehension (6h) Signs, timetables, short messages, simple forms
- 6Basic written expression (6h) Writing personal details, filling in a form, very short messages
- 7Basic professional situations (5h) Role plays: first day at work, scheduling, answering the phone
- 8Cultural references in France (3h) Working hours, punctuality, politeness, formal address (vous)
- 9Intensive DCLFP A1 preparation (7h) 2 full mock exams, individual debriefing, targeted revision
How is the training delivered?
Pedagogical approach
In-person classes. Communicative and task-based approach. Role plays and simulations. Group and individual work. 2 full mock exams with debriefing.
Resources & materials
A1.1-A1 FLE textbooks, authentic documents (badges, timetables, forms), audio materials, professional picture dictionaries, DCLFP mock papers, interactive whiteboard.
Trainer profile
FLE graduates (Master's in FLE or equivalent), teaching experience, deep knowledge of CEFR and DCLFP. Sensitivity to learners in professional integration and migrant communities.
Monitoring and certification
- Attendance sheets signed each half-day
- Continuous formative assessments at each module
- Weekly self-assessment by learners
- Mid-course simulation with individual debriefing
- Full final simulation under exam conditions
